TrueFault Privacy Policy
509 Electric
TrueFault is an available fault-current calculation aid for electrical professionals, published by 509 Electric LLC. We designed TrueFault to be local-first: you can create and review calculations on your device without unnecessary tracking, advertising identifiers, or sale of personal data.
What we collect
| Data | Purpose | Where it is stored |
|---|---|---|
| Project names and location notes | Identify your saved calculations | On your device (local app storage) |
| Electrical input values | Run and review calculations | On your device (local app storage) |
| Account identifier | Subscription and support, if you create an account | App or account backend, only if that feature is enabled |
| Purchase status | Manage your TrueFault Pro entitlement | Apple receipt and the app's local entitlement cache |
| Diagnostics | Reliability troubleshooting | Only if you enable it and it is disclosed at that time |
Saved projects, default settings, report history, and calculation inputs stay on your device unless a future sync feature is added and disclosed to you.
Tracking and advertising
TrueFault does not track you across other apps or websites, does not show advertising, and does not sell your personal data. We do not present App Tracking Transparency prompts unless a future feature genuinely requires tracking and is disclosed first.
Analytics
TrueFault does not collect analytics in this release. If analytics are added in the future, they will be event-level only, will exclude project names, addresses, equipment identifiers, panel labels, and raw calculation inputs, and will be disclosed before release.
Permissions
TrueFault avoids sensitive device permissions by default. If a future feature needs files, camera, location, or photo access, we will add a clear purpose string and update our App Store privacy disclosures before release.
Purchases
TrueFault Pro is an auto-renewable subscription processed by Apple through the App Store. Billing, renewal, and cancellation are handled by Apple and your Apple ID settings; we receive subscription status to unlock Pro features, not your payment details.
Data deletion and support
Because data is stored locally, deleting the app removes local data unless you exported or backed it up separately. For data questions, deletion requests, or support, contact us through the TrueFault support page.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as TrueFault evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date.
