What TrueFault is

TrueFault is an available fault-current calculation aid for electrical professionals. It helps you record source, transformer, conductor run, bus run, generator system, motor contribution, and point-of-fault inputs, then review results with visible assumptions and warnings.

TrueFault is not an arc-flash or PPE calculator, an AFCI troubleshooting tool, a code-compliance certification product, an engineering stamp, a utility or manufacturer approval, or a substitute for field verification by a qualified professional.

Your review responsibility

All calculations, one-lines, PDF labels, and reports are NEC-style label/report aids that require your review before use. You are responsible for confirming all utility data, equipment nameplates, conductor details, busway data, generator data, motor-contribution assumptions, installation conditions, and applicable code or engineering requirements.

Free features

The free tier supports basic point-to-point available fault-current checks for single-phase systems, including source, transformer, conductor path, one-line preview, visible assumptions, and warnings. Three-phase systems are a TrueFault Pro feature.

TrueFault Pro subscription

TrueFault Pro is an auto-renewable App Store subscription:

The annual plan is selected by default because it is the lower yearly cost. Billing, renewal, cancellation, family-sharing eligibility, refunds, taxes, and regional price display are handled by Apple through the App Store and your Apple ID settings. A subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; you can manage or cancel in your Apple ID account settings.

Pro unlocks three-phase system calculations, local saved projects, editable one-lines, PDF label export, calculation report export, unlimited exports, default settings, and motor-contribution tools. Free single-phase calculator features remain available when a subscription is not active.

Your data

TrueFault is local-first. Saved projects, defaults, report history, and calculation inputs are stored on your device unless a future sync feature is added and disclosed. Deleting the app may remove local data unless you have exported or backed up records separately. See the Privacy Policy for details.

No warranty; limitation of liability

TrueFault is provided as a professional aid on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind. Results depend on the inputs and assumptions you provide and must be independently verified by a qualified professional. To the maximum extent permitted by law, 509 Electric LLC is not liable for decisions made from, or damages arising out of, use of TrueFault.
